WELCOME AND THANKS FOR FOLLOWING!

With this being my first official post on this blog, I feel I should introduce myself and touch base on what this blog will feature exactly. First and foremost, thank you for following and subscribing (subscribe link above if you haven't already lol)! I look forward to hearing your thoughts and feedback on the articles and posts that will be shared and discussed in this blog.

My name is Dominique. I was born in Los Angeles, CA to wonderful Samoan parents who hail from Carson and Compton. I'm a 3rd-Generation American on my mom's side, and 2nd-Generation American on my dad's. I graduated from Skyline High School in Salt Lake City, UT, and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Economics & Analytics from the University of Utah. I'm a devoted husband and very proud father of a soon-to-be-born baby girl (my wife is due in the next couple weeks).

As an aspiring investor and entrepreneur, I'm constantly in search of new ideas and avenues in which I can expand my business portfolio; therefore, some of my posts will be about business and my own experience as well as the experiences of others whom I admire and aspire to be like. However, business definitely ain't all that I'm interested in or will be discussing on this here platform! As many of you who follow me on social media know, I'm very opinionated when it comes to sports, music, and even politics and current events. Hence, the nickname "Samoan A. Smith" lol All of the aforementioned topics are points that will be presented and discussed in what I post along with whatever else ya'll want me to talk about or address.....the exchange of ideas and points-of-view is what I hope to promote and create in this forum. We all don't always agree, but we can always respect each other and each other's right to disagree.

Again, thank you for following. Stay tuned and, as always, feel free to share your knowledge, opinion, and/or point-of-view with us! God bless.

Sincerely,
Dominique -aka- "Samoan A. Smith"

The 5 Most Influential NBA Players of All-Time

Photo by Edgar Chapparo Of all the greats who have made their marks on the game of basketball, here's my take on the Top 5 MOST INFLUENTIAL of them all. 5. LEBRON JAMES) The "King" Lebron James starts off our list as the 5th most influential player of all time. The past decade has been, without a doubt, the Lebron James era in the basketball world. James has been the most dominant player for quite some time now. However, his overall influence isn't as much about his actual game as it is about the business decisions he's made on and off of the court. After all, how many aspiring young hoopers are blessed to be 6'8 athletic freaks built like a tank with Lamborghini speed? Not many, if any, can even attempt to emulate Lebron's style to the game. When Lebron James decided to take his talents to South Beach, he sparked the beginning of a prevalent trend in the league today that has caused mixed emotions for players and fans alike. 5 Criteria for Pricing a Home

With the recent economic chaos facing the country in the aftermath of COVID-19, many of ya'll may be looking to sell your home. If that is the case, here are some things to consider.  When you put your home up for sale, one of the best ways to determine the asking price is to look at comparable sales. There’s rarely a perfect apples-to-apples comparison, so a pricing decision often relies on comparisons to other recent sales in the area. Here are five criteria to look for in a sales comparison. Location:  Homes in the same neighborhood typically follow the same market trends. Comparing your home to another in the same neighborhood is a good start, but comparing it to homes on the same street or block is even better. Date of sale:  It varies by location, but housing markets can fluctuate a lot in a short time period. It‘s best to use the most recent sales data you can find. Home build:  Look for homes with similar architectural styles, numbers of bathro...
